European Science Days Summer School 2007 «The Economics of Health and Health Care»

Organiser: The European Science Days Organization, an incorporated association, sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, the State of Upper Austria and the City of Steyr.

Date: July 12 – 18, 2007

The main goal of the Summer School is to put talented young European scholars at the frontier of research on these issues, enabling them to further advance in the field themselves. The challenge confronting them will be to render international research contributions fruitful for the institutional contexts of their own home countries, which continue to differ substantially.

Topic: Individual behavior with respect to health and the demand for health care services (economics is in competition with other social sciences and medicine)

Eligibility: Graduate students and post-docs in economics, political science, sociology or related fields

No fees will be charged for the Summer School. Participants will be charged a contribution of Euro 400 for the cost of lodging, meals (breakfast, coffee breaks, lunch) and social events throughout the conference.
